Speaking Engagements – Second Half of 2016

All three of us are frequently asked to speak at continuing education conferences for other veterinarians, present our research at scientific meetings, and speak at events for pet owners. Here are some of our more recent speaking engagements.

Dr. Lisa Freeman

In December 2016, Dr. Freeman gave a podcast for WGN Radio on busting pet food myths. Dr. Freeman has also been interviewed for many news articles, including a recent veterinary medical association update on regulation of pet supplements.

The One Health Committee of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) in collaboration with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) hosted Dr. Freeman as one of their distinguished speakers at a symposium entitled “Preventing Obesity in People and Their Pets: A One Health Approach” at the Emory Conference Center in Atlanta, Georgia in November 2016.

Dr. Freeman will be providing educational lectures to veterinarians on a variety of nutrition topics at the North American Veterinary Conference, the Western Veterinary Conference, the Association for Clinical and Translational Science Conference, and the Companion Animal Nutrition Summit in 2017.

 

Dr. Cailin Heinze

Dr. Heinze has been interviewed on many nutrition topics for various news outlets including ABC News, where she was interviewed on premium pet foods.

She was also recently interviewed for a podcast with The Pet Doctor on Pet Life Radio to discuss how to feed your pet.

Dr. Deborah Linder

Dr. Linder also attended the “Preventing Obesity in People and Their Pets: A One Health Approach” symposium at the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia in November 2016.

Dr. Linder will be providing educational lectures to veterinarians on a variety of nutrition topics at the Central Veterinary Conferences in Virginia Beach, Kansas City, and San Diego in 2017. In addition to national conferences, Dr. Linder is the host speaker for an upcoming spring regional New England conference for veterinarians on small animal clinical nutrition.
